Levels of registration:
There are two levels of registration:
- RTS = Registered Trauma Specialist
- RTS-A = Accredited Registered Trauma Specialist
The level of Accredited Trauma Specialist cannot be
applied for and is the equivalent of a fellowship in other organisations
Research Project:
One of the major aims of the register is to compile
research into the effectiveness of specialist trauma interventions. This
will be done by way of feedback forms from both support workers, therapists,
their clients and users of support services. These forms will be made
available to registrants free of charge. Feedback results will be
published and presented to the DOH, patient support groups and other interested
parties and organisations when a sufficiently large body of data becomes
available and has been analysed.
