Our advisory panelMichael O'SullivanFounder of the Register of Trauma Specialists Michael is a former Special Forces Soldier with two decades of experience of working with trauma. Currently undertaking research into the latest developments in both understanding and treating PTSD. Michaels role with the Register is administrative and he is the first point of contact with any queries. Shelagh ClaytonShelagh Clayton has been a qualified trauma therapist for over 20 years and
has written prolifically on the latest developments in trauma therapy. Dr Chris ForesterDr Chris Forester graduated with a First from Oxford in Philosophy and
Theology, before completing an Oxford doctorate in analytical psychology and
spirituality. He is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and of the Royal
Society of Health. A former University Lecturer, Chris left academia on
retraining as a psychotherapist and hypnotherapist. William BroomWilliam trained at the National Council of Psychotherapist’s
recognised faculty under the Council’s founders, Norman Lee and John Beard, in
1983/4. Following ten years as a practitioner, he found his voice as an
organiser and administrator when he took over from John Beard as the NCP’s
Secretary in 1993. He identified the need very early on for Hypnotherapy to
attain recognition as a separate profession from other forms of Psychotherapy,
Psychology and Counselling and in the intervening years has played a pivotal
role in attempting to bring this about. Secretary – National Council of Psychotherapists (NCP) – 1993
to 1997 Sue DanielsSue Daniels is an experienced professional counsellor. With over a decade of working in the counselling arena both in and during her training, voluntary work and private practice, her specialist areas include working with trauma, including families of murder, suicide, targets of rape, sexual violence and adult survivors of childhood rape and sexual abuse.
Morris BergMorris qualified as a hypnotherapist and psychotherapist in the early 1980s
and trained in metaphor therapy for trauma, abuse and "healing the wounded child
within" with the late David Grove. In addition he has a special interest in
helping ex-members of new religious movements, and attended a course in NRMs at
the Centre for New Religious Movements, King’s College London. Morris is
qualified as a Life Coach, Master NLP Practitioner, Dip. in EFT, and is an
Accredited member of the Counselling Society and a Fellow of the Hypnotherapy
Society. He now provides coaching, counselling, metaphor work and flower essence
consultations working solely by internet, phone and Skype -
