Sue Cook MBACP (Snr.Accred)

Sue is a widely experienced and qualified therapist who has been working with trauma sufferers for over 18 years. She now supervises the work of other trauma specialists, including a senior complex trauma therapist at The Priory and counsellors, psychotherapists and psychologists in the NHS and private practice.

She is a BACP Senior Accredited Supervisor of Individuals and Groups, a BACP Senior Accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist and a qualified EMDR practitioner.

She has had training and experience in Critical Incident De-briefing and in supporting teams of nurses and other workers, both individually and in groups, after critical incidents.

She has wide experience of working with adults who have been abused as children, and has offered workshops and trainings on this subject at conferences and to groups of counsellors and social workers.

In her private practice - started in 1991 - she offers expertise in bereavement and traumatic loss, the effects of abuse in adults, (physical, sexual, emotional), PTSD and the after-effects of trauma from RTA, assault, domestic violence, critical health diagnosis, hospital admissions and operations.
