Mark Sutherland is and experienced UKCP reg psychotherapist with a training in both psychodynamic and transpersonal ways of working. His integration of these two theoretical models enables him to work with the deep personal roots of emotional pain and suffering informed by the larger questions of ultimate purpose and meaning. The transpersonal focus in his work enables him to view the way larger collective and archetypal processes manifest in individual personal experience. As a complement to his practice of psychotherapy he works as a chaplain with individuals who experience severe and enduring disruptions to their mental health and wellbeing and it is in the arena of this aspect of his work that much of his experience of working with issues of trauma is rooted.
